2017 Oregon Gerontological Association Annual Conference
The 2017 Oregon Gerontological Association Conference will be Friday, September 29, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Keizer Civic Center It will explore how technology is meeting the needs of older Oregonians (and beyond), as well as how technology offers an avenue for elder empowerment and recognition in the community as assets.
The full day program is expected to draw 150+ attendees who are part of the broad aging network of professionals, educators, advocates, and service providers. Keynote presentations will address new approaches to brain health, home care technology, and how self-driving cars can support population aging and three concurrent sessions will be offered covering areas from access to technology to telemedicine to how technology addresses health and safety.
We expect to offer CEUs for administrators of assisted living, adult foster homes, and nursing homes, as well as social workers (certification is pending). Registration is open – click here to visit registration page
